CREST

The school crest displays the cross of the Sisters of Mercy at its centre. The keys of St Peter, the first Pope, are to the left of the cross. A sailing ship symbolising Peter, as a fisher of men, as well as Stockton's sea-faring heritage and continued affinity with the sea and harbour, is featured at the right of the cross. The chains below the cross are a reminder of the Parish and school's original name – St Peter in Chains, taken from the Acts of the Apostles account of St Peter’s imprisonment. The chains are also symbolic of the school's motto – “Strength in Christ”.
